11 - 29 - 18 | The Heavy Lifters have returned from the first JPL Build Challenge Competition! our team received first place for being the fastest machine at the competition we attended. Now we move onto the final round at Jet Propulsion Laboratory to see if we can keep that first place against even more students, and even some JPL Engineers.
Being able to watch all of the different machines, and how many different Ideas were made into reality for the same problem was really an eye opening experience. Who knew there were so many different ways to move a pipe! I was able to see how other groups tackled the same problem, and even get some new ideas for our own machine. It was also really fun to hangout with both of the SAMO teams before the final test and worry whether or not it would work in unison.
